I don't wanna go to Clusterf**k, Colorado
Tue Mar 11, 2008 at 10:40:56 AM PDT
So here's a possible win/win for Florida and Michigan:
Seat the Florida delegation as based on the vote of January 29...
... but only if Michigan is allowed to hold new caucuses.
Oh, and pledged delegates only. Neither delegation should be allowed to seat their super delegates.
Hillary Clinton inspired by... Tom Cruise?! w/ video
Sat Mar 08, 2008 at 04:37:17 PM PDT
A couple of months ago, Senator Clinton famously teared up while talking about the trials and tribulations of her campaign.
A week later a video of Tom Cruise , which had been kept under wraps for more than a year, was finally made public.
Coincidence? You decide.
If You Can't Legislate, Could You At Least Investigate?
Mon Sep 17, 2007 at 10:20:14 AM PDT
Turns out, legislatively speaking, nobody can stop Mr. Bush's War because the Senate mysteriously now needs 60 votes to get anything passed. (First of all-- who knew? And secondly, if that is indeed the case, how in the name of God did we ever get anything done in this country?)
And seeing that the Democratic Leadership is as wary of impeachment as an awkward teenage girl contemplating bikini season (yes, we all know there's a chance she'll end up looking fat and the mean boys will make fun of her... on the other hand, maybe, just maybe... she'd be fabulous).
One must wonder, what's a Congress to do? (That is other than gossiping about what certain Members are doing with their... er... members.)
Okay, so here's a crazy thought-- maybe Congress could do one of the things it does best and LOOK INTO SOME SHIT.
Scientific Proof-- Conservatives and Liberals are Just Different
Sun Sep 09, 2007 at 05:18:11 PM PDT
From theLA Times website today:
Brain study finds political divide
Researchers show that liberals and conservatives approach everyday decisions differently.
By Denise Gellene, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
11:07 AM PDT, September 9, 2007
Exploring the neurobiology of politics, scientists have found that liberals tolerate ambiguity and conflict better than conservatives because of how their brains work.
Proving what I've always suspected-- the brains of liberals are different... and fundamentally better than conservative brains.
I pray for our troops. Seven brave NCO'S might need a little more than that, though.
Sat Aug 25, 2007 at 10:45:06 AM PDT
They would be:
Army Specialist Buddhika Jayamaha, Sergeants Wesley D. Smith, Jeremy Roebuck , Omar Mora, Edward Sandmeier and Staff Sergeants Yance T. Gray and Jeremy A. Murphy
.
Those seven are, of course, the American soldiers who wrote the excellent op-ed in last Sunday's New York Times-- "The War as We Saw It". I'm sure you all have read it, but if you haven't please take a minute to do so right now.
And then come back if you think they are deserving of a little extra help.
My pitch for the first ever Fox News Channel sitcom
Sat Aug 04, 2007 at 01:09:28 AM PDT
I'm working on the pitch, love to hear what you all think... I'm trying to set up a meeting at the network early next week.
"Good afternoon, thanks for seeing me. Word on the street is that pretty soon Fox News is going to be needing to fill some time. Let's face it, that massive vein in Bill O'Reilly's head could go any day now. There's been a couple of close calls recently. When it does, what is the network going to do for that hour?
Now, I know you're a "news channel" and all, but given the current political realities, finding an actual news person is gonna be tough. Who are you gonna get? Kristol, O'Hanlon? Opposite Keith Olberman? You gotta be kidding me? Those guys make Alan Colmes look like Graham Norton.
So what I'm proposing is, now stick with me here-- a Fox News channel sitcom!"
Here I would pause for effect. Maybe take a sip of water.
Is It Time For Another Tea Party?
Mon Jul 30, 2007 at 01:41:11 AM PDT
Okay, I'll confess right up front, I'm a nobody here on Daily Kos-- a couple of diaries that quietly sunk into obscurity, but what the hell-- I had an idea and I figured I'd throw it out there... if you think it's a good one, do it with me. If you think it's crap, well, I guess tell me I'm an idiot. I'm fully aware that's a distinct possibility.
On Dec 16, 1773, the first generation of American Patriots staged an inspired piece of theatrical protest known as the Boston Tea Party. To this day it remains an iconic American moment, as well as being one of our first fully realized "media events".
Is it time for another Tea Party?
Before you start putting on your war paint and heading down to the Port of Long Beach or where ever, I had a slightly different thought for a post modern Tea Party.... more of a "New Media" event.
Why O'Reilly is Acting Like Such a Douche
Fri Jul 27, 2007 at 10:25:58 AM PDT
I know, not another diary about Bill O-O!-Oh-My-God-Don't-Put-The-Loofah-There!
But, you gotta wonder, don't you? I mean, I know he's always tended towards douchiness, but his hyper ventilating attacks on this site over the last couple of weeks have verged on hysteria.
Daily Kos is a hate site? Really? People post pictures of their kitties here and then refer to them as pooties. Now, I might be wrong, but I really, really doubt you'll find that on an actual Nazi or KKK website.
So, what's his deal? I have theory and it's simple-- Common Sense.

REVEALED: Secret "Memo" to Bill O'Reilly Regarding Hate Mongering at Daily Kos!
Fri Jul 20, 2007 at 01:58:15 AM PDT
An Explosive Document!
The top secret report to Bill O'Reilly from one of his interns who researched the prevalence of hate speech on the Daily Kos. What s/he discovered after lurking here is very revealing
Please don't ask me how I happened to lay my hands on this. If I told you, Judith Miller will yell at me and frankly, I don't need that kind of heartache.
